the Deutsohe Oder$$ohiffahrt (German Shipping on the `Oder'River) (DOS)
has been taken into the DStT, The DSU was scheduled to handle 25,000
tons ibz?ough Frankfurt and 8,000 - tuna . through Stettin each month, shipping
.the grain'-by river and canal to' storage points in Saxony, with small amounts
destined for. Brandenburg and East Berlin.
Deliveries during May 1953 were considerably below. schedule.
The graft,. handled and stored by the DSU is primarily an army reserve, and
is not turned over to.-the ' civilian population.
