The movement of goods has been very small and the storehouses. are now 95 percent
empty.
1. The German director of. the German Russian Transport Company (DERUTRA), Schlimme,.
(fnu).,pontacted the State Secretary for State Reserves regarding the leasing of
storage areas belonging to the Company in the harbors of Stralsund, Rostock,
.Warnemundel,and Wismar. As a result, a tour of inspection of these storage areas
was. made by representatives of the State Secretariat at the end of April 1953.
2, The DERUTRA storehouses at Rostock now hold 8,000 tons of cement belonging to the

7. At Rostock there are three areas: 1 and 2 at the ends of the harbor, 3 in the
center. In contrast to the other two areas, 3 has no storage areas and is used
only for the direct movement of goods. It has a crane of 30 tons capacity.
Areas 1 and 2 have cranes of 3 to 6 tons. Up to now, there was regular direct
traffic between Rostock and Leningrad in three lighters, but goods have re-
cently been lacking to keep them busy. The Rostock storehouses now hold about
15 carloads of fertilizer.
