Russian Orders for Miniature Radio Tubes DATE DISTR. at Werk firer Fernmeldewesen HF (OSW) 1, In the spring of 1952, two Russians of the Werk fuer Fernmeldewesen HF with the German production director Lorenz had a conference with Werk Hp. The Russians were Glybin and Fedcheriko. The conference concerned miniature tubes (palchikovaya lampa) e THE SOURCE EVALUATIONS IN THIS REPORT ARE DEFINITIVE. THE APPRAISAL OF CONTENT IS TENTATIVE. (FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) 2, The Russians produced seven miniature tubes of Russian manufacture as listed at the end of this re r'.. The Russians stated that they wanted these tubes'mass-produced in the Werk HF, They further said that they could of course produce them in the USSR., but their reject rate was high and they wanted a large number produced quickly, and the Werk: HF, they thought, was in a position to do so. They, therefore, wanted the Germans to examine the tubes and take the tubes 25X1 apart and start with the mass production of a copy of each. 4.
