Haifeng (N 22-58, E 115-20) Hsien coastal area. This regiment was under the
command of CH'IEN Han-wu (6929/3352/2976). Each of the four battalions of
the regiment was equipped with mortars, antiaircraft machine guns, and
light machine guns.

15 Army Group, arrived in Shenc uar} 22-32, 114-08) on the Canton-Kowloon
Railway. This battalion had a strength of over 600 men and was equipped
with 12 artillery pieces, and 4 antiaircraft machine guns. The battalion
was disposed at Ts'aiwuwei (5591/1450/0953), Huangkang (7806/1511), west
of Shench'uan, and at other nearby places.
8. the 2 Armored Battalion, 15 Army Group, was in the Haifeng
s en coastal area under FAN Shih-chun (2868/0013/1193). The battalion
had a strength of 1,500 men, and it was equipped with 12 antiaircraft guns,
9 field guns, 9 antiaircraft machine guns, 6 log-range guns, 6 searchlights,
and a total of 60 light armored cars and tanks.

Chinese Communist army troops were concentrating at the
railway centers of Shihlung (N 23-07, E 113-51) and Changmut'ou for probable
transport to the East River Valley and to the coastal areas near Haifeng
and Lufeng (N 22-58, E 115-38).
