The 3 Trudovak Division in Sliven, strength approximately 2,000 men, is commanded by an unidentified colonel. Its barracks are located approximately 200 meters east of the railroad station. 2. An unidentified motorized unit is located east of the artillery barracks. Four of its tanks participated in the parade on 9 September 1952 and were described as followes a. Two were small, each with a 4-man crew; and b. The remaining two, 15 to 20 tons in weight, each had a 6-man crew. All four tanks were full-track vehicles, each having one gun of unspecified caliber as main armament. 3. An unidentified infantry barracks is located to the north of the Hospitalnii Kisartal quarter. 4. Early in 1953, a large number of new officers arrived in Sliven which gave rise to a rumor that a larger headquarters was to be established there. 5. Ammunition depots are located one kilometer northeast of the military hospital.
