SEE REVERSE) The Chemical Laboratory of the Department of Geological Research is responvible for analyzing Bulgarian minerals. It is attached to the Ministry of Heavy In- dustry through the Department of Geological Research. Although the laboratory is to be transferred to a new building of the Department of Geological Research,, as of January 1953 it was still located at No. 36 Partsevich Street in Sofia. 2e The laboratory has a staff of 1i5, of which 15 are chemists. Its research is conducted by three departments: as Coal and lignite; be Manganese, irons leads and copper ore; and c. Barium, salts., quartz, and kaolin. 3. Laboratory workers receive the following salaries: as Manager, 850 leva per month; b. Chemist,-750.800 leva per month; and c. .Laboratory technicians 450 lava per month. The Department of Geological Research is now located in a new building on the corner of Georgi Dimitrov Street (formerly Mariya Luisa Street) and Tsar Simeon Street in Sofia.
