Czech electrified barbed wire defenses were observed along the Austro-Czech border of the Danube from Devin almost to Bratislava. 3o An Austrian DDSG ship which entered Hungarian waters about was joined by.a Hungarian police boat, which accompanied it to Budapest and back. At Szob a Hungarian customs official boarded the DDSs ship and accompanied it to,Budapest and back. In the port of Budapest, the police boat-circled the DDSG craft continuously, making use of a spo- light during the hours of.darkness.1 When the DDSG craft passed through channels close to the shore, the Hungarian police boat stationed itself between the Austrian boat and the bank. 4. A number of DDSG crew members received shore permits. They remained on shore for only a short time, since they were constantly accompanied by a Hungarian policeman. After this, few members of the crew requested shore permits. 25X1A 1. Comment: It was observed in Budapest that Yugoslav ships were continuously circled by Hungarian police boats.
