between 2100'and 2200 hours. Approximately 10 trucks and cants travelled
the road between 1630 and 2100 hours. The trucks were driven by North Korean
soldiers and travelled separately rather than in convoys. Civilian personnel
drove the oxcarts. The trucks and carts were empty on'the way to Hongwon and
loaded on the way to Hamhung. Eighteen trucks and 50 carts went to Hamhung,
and 12 trucks and 20 carts went to Hongwon. Approximately 20 of the trucks
were 6 x 6, ZIS.151's f and the balance were 4 x I+, {PAZ-63' s, and 4. x 2 GAZ-51's.
