On 1 July the Central and South China Military Area Command instructed
the Kwangsi Military District to send high level officers to Canton for
participation in research projects at the headque,rters of the Central
and South China Military Area. On 8 July three officers experienced in
island warfare and landing operations were sent to Canton. They were to
retain their positives in the Kwangsi Military District Command during
their stay in Canton. The three officers wares
a. LIAO Che-min ,(1675/0772/3046), deputy chief of staff of the Kwangsi
Military District, who was formerly chief of staff of the ~+3 Army
and commander. of the 127 Division, 43 Army.
b. LU Shao-wu (~+151/~+801/2976), deputy commander of the Kwangsi Military
District and former deputy chief of the ~+1 Army.
c. T'AN Fu-den (6223/390/0088), third political commissar of the Kwangsi
Military District and former politician.
