(USTED BELOW SUPPLEMENT TO REP('T W) THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION In late 1952 and early 1953, the average monthly production of DKF - Deutsche Kugellagerfabrik on Gutenbergstrasse, Boehilitz--Ehrenberg. which was the only plant of the SAG Awtowelo dissolved on l May 1952 to amain unr'er Soviet control amounted tc 400 tons worth 4,200,000 eaetmarks.. In early 1953, the p;Lant was equipped exclusively with old machine tools. According to the 1953 plan, the plant was to be considerably expanci4d .. No preparations for this planned expansion could, however, be observed prior to late February 1953, The expansion of the plant would necessitate the purchase of the adjoining area as the area r - the plant is too small. Prior to late February 1953, the management of the plant had, however, not attacked this problem. The plant, mainly produced bearings of the series 6200; 6220, 6300; 632C; NUL, NIL, NUPL, EUM, NIM, NUPM types cylindrical rc".ler bearings with holes of 20 to 160 mm; and some types of self-aligning ball bearings including series 1205, 1.216, 1305, 1314; self- iligning roller bearings of the series 22216, 22222, 22308, 22336; needle roller bearings of the pfd 20-120 types; and QA and Q radial thrust ball bearings (Querlaengslager) for aircraft engines with holes of 20 to 1,000 mm In early 1952, the total labor force of the plant totaled 2,600 persons. The DKF-Leipziger Kugellager Fabrik Werk II on Naumburger Strasse in Leipz.i,. was a branch plant of the DKF in Boehlitz-Ehrenburg and served mainly as rr- p.ir shop for large roller and cylindrical roller bearings and as a turning and grinding plant for the main plant. It had a labor force of about 300 p,;ree ns. According to the regulations of the ei ve-Year=Plan, the expansion of '.` e VI:'U-Waelzlagerfabrik in Fraureuth is to be concluded in 1954. No Inforiration was available on the present ste e of the expansion. Since faccordina to the Five= 'par-Plan, this plant was scheduled to have a labor force totalling ().000 workers wheat completed in 1952 and,in early 1951, had a labor force of 2,000 persons, one-third of the planned capacity of the plant was c;;;,pleted at that U e. 4-- The ,plant produced bearir.ns of the series 6204, 6212, 6304, 63121 and some types of the series 6400 and. 6C01 X. In early 1952, the r..onthly output wnc 30,00() to 35%'-Y. Y. bearings. This production could, however, be ine, easec without difficulty to 100 CCC bearings,,if the scarcity of steel Lubes could be rercved. 25X1 CLA_SSIF!CATION SECRET/I STAM DISTRIBUTION AR Y _l_~7_PJr I ~t FBI f. ,. 640 (,o CJ? 25X1 Approved For Release 2005/12/01 : CIA-RDP80-0081OA002100590007-7 Approved For Release 2005/12/01 : CIA-RDP80-0081OA002100590007-7 25X1 25X1 25X1 0 25X1 25X1 25X1 In late 3(157', high s,cision roller bearing-i with hole: of 1C to 55 m and ex- ternal dsn, neters of 2 to 120 mm were produced with an annual output of 12,CO bearings. In 1951, Sehacc (fnu), the manager of the plant, succeeded in pzroducirqm: ball bear?in s casings of plywood pressed by high pressure.
