9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on 28 Jun.:- 1953, 10 jet bombers apparently from
a :o h. airfield landed at Finsterwalde airfield. At 8 far,:. 42 I1-28 and Uil-28
plans were counted at the f eld. The same number of pl.aaes was stationed-at
the field on 30 June. There was formation flying by eight jet bombers.
2. 3etween 18 J:.ne and 2 July, there was comparatively little air activity at
the field. On 2 July, 16 jet bo:=:bers and 1. biplane were counted at the Veld.
At 3 p.:m. on 22. June, railroad cars with / x 76-:;-ii.--- AA guns were stunted to
the fi .ld.
Air Army left :'.ast Oer..:any in late June and early July 19153. The increased
number of plena temporarily obseuved at Finsterwalcle airfi 3d is possibly_'
connected with there transfers. It appears pos ::ible th=.,t the ro iment front
Comment. Pinsterwalde airfield was previous;ly occupied bl,.- a bomber
regl:rrient equipped with 20 I1a-28s. A bomber division and the bomber corps
.headQuarters we ..c also believed. to ;e stationed in Finsterualde. According
to available luf'ormation, all other bomber regiment of the Twenty.aWourth
