1. On 9 July 1953, a Soviet mail coact- was side-tracked at the Goepfritz (0 49/ft 64)
railroad station. The mail coach pc:ssibly arrived with the regular train leaving
Vienna at 4 a.m. Vehicles .

Landesheilanstalt in Mauer Oehlin (0 49/W 26). the trucks
totaled about 62. Several groups, including about 50 EM, drilled with rifles at the
installation. About 20 EM did maintenance work on motor vehicles. Officers leaving
and entering the former Landesheilanstalt included: a lieutenant colonel and three
majors wearing red-bordered black epaulets with artillery insignia, two majors with
black-bordered red epaulets, and a major with b k- dered black epaulets. Vehicles
observed at the installation included: truck with

driven by soldiers with red-bordered black epaulets. 25X1
On 2 July, officers entering the officers mess at the former StadtsaeJ_e in St. Foel-
ten (0 49/'W 88) included- 2 colonels and 2 lieutenant colonels with red-bordered black
epaulets; a colonel and 4 lieutenant colonels with black bordered red epaulets; and
27 officers, highest rank captain, with red-bordered black, black-bordered red and
black-bordered black epaulets. Truck and sedan driven by sol- 25X1
diers with black-bordered red epaulets, left the parking lot at the former Kreis-
gericht where two jeeps were standing. Three trucks and 3 tank trucks were parked 25X1
at the Eugen Kaserne. The garage for pontoon carriers was closed. Individual soldiers
with black bordered black epaulets were seen at the installation. Maintenance work
was done on 9 trucks and 2 tank trucks by soldiers at the Rainer Kaserne. There were
no activities or parked vehicles at the Franz Josef Kaserne. The barrier at the Franz
Josef Kaserne was guarded by a sentry with black-bordered black epaulets. Vehicles
