Maneuvers were conducted by air transport units between 19 June and 17 July.
These,-exercises, held in connection with the 39th Guards Rifle Division,'
took place in the area of Saxony and Thuringia, between Brandis and Erfurt
Bindersleben airfields. Maneuvers of this type were previously held in 1951
and 1952.
