There is a 20 kilometer her hour speed restriction for automobile traffic along t e road in the barracks area. 2. It is estimated that ari^roxi;:ateiy 7,000 men are stationed in this area. ome of the soldiers have blacl: hatbands; others have red bands. All soldiers seen on duty were armec with automatic ristols. Armored cars were alto seen on several occasions.. 3. There are a number of firing ranges. One pre-1945 range was inherited from the Germans: there are two to three shooting ranges for distances to 2,000 meters, each separated from the other by earth dasis, In addition there is an open said range for pistol training for distances up to about 1;0 meters,, and. a newly constructed range for distances u' to about 1,0(1) meters; the latter consists of one broad wall for the targets about 30( meters wide and can be used by rian;;r soldiers at once, 4.
