OF PAGES REQUIREMENT REFERENCES 18 September 1953 25X1 1. two classes of conscripts will be called up this year, However, it is probable, as during the previous year, that this is equivalent to calling up the principal part of one age class together with smaller groups (volunteers, certain specialists, etc.) of another class. This year the classes of 1933 and 1934, respectively, will be called up. 2. An armored regiment which is garrisoned in Kolobrzeg (Kolberg)1 was in summer camp in Kaliez Pomorski (50 kin. east of Stargard) during April- September 1952 and was sent 'to temporary quarters in a camp in Drawsko Pomorski (55 km. east northeast of Stargard) in January 1953. In the last named place, there is a non-commissioned officers' school for armored troops. 3. During the summer, reserve officers in greater numbers than earlier have been called in to serve two to four months with the armored, artillery, anti- aircraft, armored infantryyand signal troops. 25X1 I Commentg It has not previously been reported that an armored regiment is stationed in Kolobrzeg, although Kolobrzeg is the headquarters of the 8th Mechanized Divisions SECRET/CONTROL - U.
