On 28 June 1953, the situation in Jena was normal again,, lit noon on 2 July, :soviet
patrols and sentries were withdrawn from the town and partially replaced 1xs VP
son-tries with dogs.
The gates of the barracks installation in Ioebetedt wore closed. Guard and patrol
service by soldiers wee ring read--bordered bl:.ck epaulet's with tank insignia was
normal. On 2 July, three trucks and five small armored vehicles apparently sze:re still
assembled in the barracks yard. Except for athletics with up to 2000 E14 parl';icipating
