TYPE) 1, On 21 June 1953, about 20 canvas-covered one-axle grans, with a barrel about 4 meters long, and pneumatic tires; 6 trucks, 1 radio truck with an extended rod antenna,, about 4 meters long; 4 x 10 -man house tents and 3 three-man tents were about 400 meters north of Puttgarten on Ruegen Island. Sentries armed with submachine guns patrolled the area. on 22 July, two rows of each 8 x 85 am AA guns, 9 x 10-man house tents, 4 trucks, 1 jeep, and about 10 prime movers were about 200 meters east of Lohme. A pile of ar sunition boxes was about 30 meters from the guns. The area and its vicinity were patrolled by sentries. Local residents stated that the unit had arrived two days ago. men-tioned were unoccupied. A patrol of 1' N?CO and. 3 EM was observed between Stubber i rier and Sassnitz. 25X1A Cor~sr~ent.
