1. The following air activity and aircraft were observed at Brandenburg-Arado
airfield between 30 My and 27 June 1953:
0 Ms There was no air activity except for the landing of a twin-engine
r: onopla.ne at 3 pnm.., The weather was clear.
1 June There was night flying by I1-10s which started at 9 p.m., and still
continued after 11:45 p.mo
9ane,,~ At 2:30 pap., no flying was observed, The sky was overcast.
8 June:, Flights by Po-2s which had been previously reported were made between
8 p.m. and 10 p,zn. at an altitude of about 100 meters.
11 June, The 38 11-10s observed had red propeller hubs, red edges on (heir :ail
units and a white-bordered Soviet star 25X1

red propeller hubs and red edges on the tail assemblies and with 25X1
orange-colored markings. Individual flights were made by :i1-.10s during the night.
:7 June Thirty-two Il-10s were counted at the field,

the Artillerie Kaaserne, on a building of the Flak Kaserne and on the roof of the
northern building of the Pionier Kaserne, the latter of which measuring about
1 x 1.5 meters, but no soldiers were seen in them. 25X1

is occupied by a. ground attack regiment equipped with about 50 II-10S
and are r irked by red propeller hubs with red leading edges on the rudder
assemblies, The numier of aircraft observed has not changed.
