1, On 7 and d July 1953, each between 150 and 2q0 KVPs armed with infantry
weapons and. car'-ying baggage were loaded at the Schwerin railroad station,
coming from the Alto Grenadier carne. A railroad man stated that the train,
would go in the direction of Saxony.
2. On 11 July 1953, the Alte Grenadier Kaserne was only lightly occupied by. an
eatiniated 200 KVPs who bad red collar patches.
25X1 A= Coriren . The installation mentioned quarters the headquarters of. TV 5000
with subordinate engineer battalion commanded by Senior Lieutenant Jaensch (fnu
and signal battalion commanded by Captain Storm (fnu). It is believed that, on
7 and 8 July, elements of these two battalions were transferred for the execution
of training programs and that, on 11 July, rear details of these units and the
headquarters of TV 5000 were still in Schwerin.
