1. On all days in June and July 1953 on which source was able to observe
Puetnitz airfield, there was intensive air activity during the day and
night. The aircraft involved took off individually and in elements of
twos, and were fitted with auxiliary fuel tanks. In additio;., about
20 !1iG -15 or U-MiG-15a and 3 biplanes were observed at the field. A
radar set with a rotatable parabolic reflector, probably a SCR-584 (Whiff)
t -pe sat, was located on Koeppenberge 1
2. On 23 July, source entered the field and, for the first time, was accompanied
by Soviet soldiers, Twenty -four canvas-covered 141G--15 or U-MiG-35s were
parked on the northeastern edge of the landing field,, proximately 24
additional aircraft of the same type were observed on the landing field. 2
Between 19 and 31 July, them: was intensive air activity during the day
and at night. Firing at towed sleeve targets was repeatedly observed during
the day and also at night, with searchlights being in operation. Short
bursts of fire were determined. An increased number of air force officers
