1. In early August the Chinese Communists were organizing and training recruits
from the Shan tribe for the Free Thai State People's Liberation Army (Tzu Yu
T'ai Kuo Jen Min Chieh Pang Chun, 5261/3945/3141/0948/0086/3046/6043/2397/6511).1
2. The Chinese Communists have appointed two members of the Shan tribe vice chairmen
of the Free Thai State Government. They are SU Chien-shao (5685/1696/1421) and
TAO Lien-oh'un (0430/6647/2504).
