THE SOURCE EVALUATIONS IN THIS REPORT ARE DEFINITIVE.

1. A plan to co-ordinate dye production within the Soviet Bloc is at present being
put into e`fect by the USSR and the satellite countries. In preparation for
reorganized dye production, factories are being equipped with East 0 German
machi
e
n
ry, under the supervision of German personnel.
2. The production program has been allocated as follows&
a) Chrome and half wool colors (sic) are to be manufactured in Wolfen.
Ea;' "t Gernany.
b) Acid chrome leather and basic dyes will be manufactured at Pabraniec, Poland.
c) Azo-dyes and neolans in Usti nad Labem, Czechoslovakia.
d) Vat dyes in the new factory in Rybitvi, Czechoslovakia.
e) Sulphur dyes in Hungary.
f) Vat dyes of "serviceableti quality in the Donez region of the USSR.
Comment. Possibly Papjanice (Q52/082 or Q51/T82) is meant.
