' ; - _AL J EMARKS...:~. _ ~" 25X1 TV 000 in Schwerin was the superior headquarters of KVPD in Kirchmoeser, which was officially designated as'' 1S.-5 instruction unit of TV 5000, 2. The S-5 unit was organized in a headquarters with 20 officers; a supply platoon with 3 officers, 6 NCOs and 10 Et,; a 1st Bn with 25 officers, 28 NCOs and 109 EMS; and a 2d Bai with 27 officers, 32 TNCOs and 157 F W1. The lst Bn was organized into the headquarters with 4 officer 1 NCO and 1 E1 and 3 companies equipped with 37inm guns., Each company was organized into a headquarters with 4 officers, 1 NCO and 2 E ; a command group of 1 officer 4 NCOs and 6 Eli and 2 gun platcoms with 1. officer,, 2 NCO and 14 EM to each platoon. The personnel of the 1st Sn was newly recruited in June 1953. The 2d Bn was organized into a headquarters with 4 officers., 1 NCO and I EY; 2 companies'with 7 officers, 9 NCOs and 36 EM to each company; and a third company with 9 officers,: 1.3 NCOs and 84 E;., The 1st and 2d Cos of this battalion came from the AAA regiment in Altwarp in early July. The companies had the same composition as the three companies of the 1st Bn, The 3d Co of the 2d Ba wasp however, equipped with 85 imn AA guns and had been detached from the AAA regiment in Pasewalk on 2 July. This company consisted of a headquarters with 4 officers, 1 NCO and 2 EM; a command platoon with 1. officer, 4 NCDs and 23 EMI; as ordnance platoon with 1 officer, 3 NCOs and 13 EM; a radio platoon with I officer, 1 NCO and 6 EM; and two gun platoons'with I officer, 2 NCOs and 20 1Z, to each platoon, A course for range finding techniques was administratively attached-to the KVPD in Kirchmoeser0 25X1:=),, Officers of the unit included Major Braeutigam, comu.anding officer, who came from the KVPD Frankenberg; Major Fritsch , PK officer; Lieutenant Wil.fried Schulz, commanding officer of the 3d Co of the 2d Bno One Soviet lieutenant colonel and a major who wore KVP uniforms were assigned to the ;t The unit was equipped with 4 x 85 -mrr. and 20 x 37 nun AA guns; 20 G-5 (H?6) trucks to tow the 37-air gunk S 15 15C trucks assigned to the 3d. Co of the 2d Bn; I BMW sedan; and a P-1 staff car. An undetermined number of motor vehicles was under repairs, Ten percent of the effectives belonged to the 1935 class,, 40. percent to the 1934 class, 25 percent to the 1933 class, 10 percent each to 1932 and 1931 classes and 5 percent belonged to older classes.
