at the castle had also been transferred,, The Soviet instruction officers left with
the bulk of the personnel. Many officers and NGOs of the cadre personnel had been
reassigned to the regular police and the transport police,, On 30 July, the castle,
allegedly was occupied by about 3 companies totaling 6cc men, mostly wearing red-
bordered black epaulets and sore wearing red service color. The two transmitting
towers on the athletic field were no longer observed after 1 August,;1
On 3 Au -ust, source 1en.rned from a laborer employed at Sachsenhausen concentration
ca-mp that KVP stationed there,, at that time,, totaled about 1 500 men and that tanks
and & guns had been shipped to an undetermined de-tination.1

concentration camp to Ora.nienburg railroad station. In the yard of the firmer
