AL.10Ingirian artillery it,' about 400 men strong, is stationed in the barracks. The unit is equipped with 10 - 12 horse-drawn guns, -caliber about 100'Mm: the epring of 1953, the unit moved to the summer camp south of HajdUhadhii, about 16 km. north-northeast of Debreoen. b. Besides' the above-mentioned units. 2 4. 3 batteries of mechanised artillery (about $00'.6 400 men) are stationed in the barrihks. They are equipped With 8 -.10.- guni, caliber 100 - 120 mm., 5 - 6 three-ton trucks and 2 -3 jeeps. This unit Also moved to a summer camp in the spring of 1953, whose location however, is not known. 2. Former Salgtrom, Barracks. A. Hungarian communications unit, :250 - 300 man strong, is' stationed in the barracks. It is equipped with 10 . 14 three-ton trucks, type Csepel; 3 - 4 trucks, type Mrippon;- and'l .- 2 jeeps. The 'barracks contains a wireless station fitted 'with 2 aerial masts, about 10 - lb high. The aerial between the masts is '30 . 40 in. long. 34 a. The staff of a Hungarian Army coma (5th or 6th) is stationed here. b. The following were observed: 1.) High ranking Soviet and Hungarian officers. 2.) 15 - 20 three-ton and 1.5-ton tracks. 3 . ) An infantry unit with green lapels, about 200 men strong. SECRET/CONTROL . Pavillon Barracks. 50X1 -HUM A Hungarian infantry regiment, 1200 - 1500 men strong, is stationed in this 'barracks. In the spring of 1953, this unit moved to an unknown summer camp. 5. Forner Police Barracks. a. An AVE training unit, 300 - 400 men strong, is stationed in the barracks. The men are armed with machine pistols. b. The following vehicles were observed: 15 three-ton trucks, mostly type Csepel, which were parked in the barracks court- yard and the garages. 6. Stud Barracks. A Hungarian cavalry unit, 300 - 400 men strong, is stationed in the barracks. The men are armed with carbin.es and light and heavy machine gums. The lapels are white. 7. The Old Train Barracks. In May 1953 building work was going on in the barracks, which were expected to be completed by about the end of 1953. As of -the end of May the barracks was not occupied. Judging by the extent of the construction work, a mechanized infantry unit, about 300 men strong, will be stationed there. 8. Police Barracks. A:Hungarian police unit, about 200 menstrong, is stationed here; it is believed to be a training unit. 9. Barracks Buildings in the Nagy ErdeWoods. In the spring of 1953, construction work was started in the Nagy End wood's; two- story and five-story barracks buildings were being constructed. In May 1953 the bare brickwork of two buildings was completed.
