2. The following figures represent the consumption and supply of fireproof materials
in. the Ministry for Industrial Construction. (The figures are given in tons.)
a. Plcnned Consumption:
Fireolay 106,000 of which 33,830 will be from imports.
Silicious earth 30,900 of which 20,450 will be from imports. 50X1-HUM
Magnesite 4,230 of which 2,610 will be from imports.
b. The planned consumption in 1953 of Fe-Mo is 290 tons. Supply by the end-of
1953 should be 70 tons. A further 25 tons is to be returned to State reserves.
The actual requirement for 1953 is thus 385 tons. Supply as of 1 January 1953
was 25 tons. Imports from USSR 180 tons.
Imports to date are 125 tons. The production plan of the Laziska foundry
puts the production of Fe-Mo at 340 tons (sic).
