1. The Chinese Communist army barracks which were formerly occupied by American
troops, are located six miles southwest from the Ch'inguangtao W 39-57,
E 119-35) water tower on Hai Ping Lu Road and 200 yards inland from the
seashore. These barracks have been occupied by a Chinese infantry regiment
since 1948.1
The barracks, area is surrounded with a new two;meter-high concrete fence,
which has barbed wire along the top. No new construction has been initiated.
