INFORMATION REPORT
Department-under he. North Korean Ministry of Internal Affairs was 1.5 kilo-
meters. southwest of Hill-339 and 1.2 kilometers east of Hill-517 at CU-555257
near Posong-ni (N 39-04, E 127-20) (CU-5625). The unit moved to this location
in May 1952 and in January 1953 had 140 men and was equipped with 50 pistols,
100 rifles, one jeep, and 30 automobiles. A separate installation was main-
tained to indoctrinate members of the department who were suspected.of political
deviation. Classes for these persons began at 0600 hours each day and endedat+
1800 hours.
