works for the Coronel Espinoza shop at Calles Chimborazo and Maldonado; Eustacio
ARDmO, a printer for the firm Reed and Reed; "E1 Maestro" PIZARRO (fnu), a
seam m who ships on the '5 DE JULIO and ECUADOR; and many others from suburban
zones. Among the Arnistas present as members of the audience were Julio SALAZAR,
a cell leader in the southern sector of Guayaquil; GUTIE.tEZ (fnu), who has a
mechanic shop on Calls Eloy Alfaro in front of the Emelec swing pool; Nicolas
CHE~'RRRB, a new candidate; a . same five unidentified Arnistas Who accompanied
SALAZAR.

Walter VALDA1O Raffo, Jose FAIDUTTI Estrada, and German SILVA. BARREIRO and Nicolas
VALDANO-gave''the principal speeches,,, e,tplalzing-the significance of ANNE and out-
lining the advantages an4 disadvantages of communism and "Cefepismo" - the CFP
program. The session ended at 11:30 p.m., and those in attendance were invited to
another meeting in two weeks. Upon leaving, they were handed copies of the small
pamphlet Ideario'de ANNE which explains the ANNE political line. They were also
advised topurchase a book'regaxding ANNE (title not reported) which sells for
15' sucres.

3. One person attending the meeting remarked that he felt that the seating pattern
had been carefully arranged so that there were interspersed among the general public
numerous ARNE members and sympathizers who effectively stimulated the audience to
applaud the various speakers.
