Ia Between 2 and 13 September 1953, the Artillerie Kaserne east of FriedensstrRasse,
'.eitz, was occupied by an estiiated 450 to 5Q0 troops wearing red-bordered
black epaulets, 40 percent of t*.horn wore artillery insignia, 40 percent tank
and dotortranspo. t i.nsigrii=:.; 10 percent AT insignia, and 10 percent were

after nightfall, while, in a second building,, only the : ec.:nd floor was
