REFERENCES
Miguel Angel GUZMAN, Socialist and president of the Communist-line Confedera-
eion de Trabajadores del Ecuador (CTE), which is affiliated with the CTRL,
stated on 7 October 1953 that he might have to cancel his previous plans to
travel to Viennal as an Ecuadoran representative at the WFTU Third Congress
being held in that city. He said that he had been unable to obtain a visa
for Austria, as the Austrian Consul is not in Quito, and, that he did not want
to try to get the visa in another country such as Switzerland, as he is un-
acquainted with any language other than Spanish.

Trabajadores del Ecuador (CTE) is composed of the following:2
