The 1 Branch Unit, stationed in Chunghwa-gun (N 388.52, E 125-47) (YD-4305), South P' on an Province, which was the training unit of the 526 mu. This unit was composed of three brigades, each of which consisted of three battalions. (6855/4135/6881), a native of forth Bamgyong Province. At staff level were a chief of staff, political commissar, organization instructor, chief of medical services, and chief of security. The unit was made up of four companies, one of which was an armed communications company. Each of the companies was divided into four pla- toonsj each platoon was divided into three squads. This was the guard unit for the North Ch'ungch?ong Provincial Party, KLP, and also waged guerrilla warfare. f. S. OFFICIALS ONLY The 9 Branch Unit, stationed in the Ongjin-gun (N 37-56, E 125-22) (YC-Q.$ol), Ewanghae Province, as a combat unit. It defended the Ongjin line in alliance with the Chinese Communist Forces (CCF). It was equipped with Chinese weapons, and was under the command of a CCF-commander. h.. The 10 Branch Unit, bras also known 25X1 as the 776 Guerrilla, u . xnis unit was engage n. operating collective farms in Ilsin-rgyon, Yonbaek-gun, and also functioned as a training unit. The 10 Branch Unit was divided into two battalions; each battalion was divided into five companies, Each company, of approximately 350 (0356/0340 25X1 P'yon&yang Liaison Station 4. In October 1952 the P' on an Liaison Station of the 526 NKAU was at Aisan: (N 39-04+, E 125-47 Taedong-gun, South P'yongan Province f i stati n was to screen and classif dischar ed soldiers and to provide for their welfare. :Districts were estab- lished in various areas under the jurisdiction of the Pyongyang Liaison Station to accomodate those assembled for screening. Clothing, food, and other supplies were drawn from the IK Army Rear Service department. Hospitalization was pro- vided for those who needed it. (5) 2nd Squad Leader: Unknown the 931 Unit, with the 94+1 Unit, departed from Chun hwa 25X1 arrivinal at the Central Liaison Station the 1st Squad of the 1st Platoon of the 931 nit made several umuccesaful attempts to break through the front line. During this time the 3rd Squad of the let Platoon made three unsuccessful attempts in which about half of its personnel was lost. Unsatisfactory wireless contact with the central8 was made six times from various locations. The 3rd and 4th units (sic) had 11 and 10 members, respectively.
