(FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) 25X1X 1, Nori=commiissioned officers' courses of six months duration are held at the large military center for armored troops in Drawsko Pomorskie (Dremburg-?054/R37). The center was established at the end-of 1951. Each person who successfully completes this course' graduates.as a none-commissioned officer candidate, and remains a candidate for a period of' two y.eare before he can be promoted to a career NCO. Marv of the career NCO's are forced to remain in the army after the end of their tour of'military service because they have been threatened with transfer?to a work battalion, 2. The school has T-34, T-44, T-54, Stalin 2, and Stalin-3 tanks for use in training, as well as some English and American tanks, the names of which informant could not remember. The commander of this training school for armored troops is a Soviet brigadier general who has young Polish officers, politruks, and many Soviet officers serving under him. 25X1A SECRET/CONTROL-U.S.OFFICIALS ONLY 25X1A
