THE APPRAISAL OF CONTENT IS TENTATIVE. (FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) 25X1A 3.7 November 1953 1. The large tobacco warehouses in Wabrzezno (Q54/D60), located about 300 meters from the town's main market place, were converted in 1952-for the production of ammunition for the infantry. About 250 people, half of whom are women, are employed at these converted warehouses which are equipped with machines shipped in from Poznan. There is no mili- tary garrison stationed in Wabrzezno. 2. Since 1950, two to three trains, each train composed of 30 to 34 empty freight cars, have been coming to Swidnica (Schweidnitz) from the direction of Wroclaw (Breslau). These trains arrive during the day and are loaded during the night by soldiers. The goods with which they are loaded are taken fr?m'the'warehouses situated near the rail- road line. The trains depart before daybreak. Informant believes that these ' freight trains are loaded with goods destined for the Soviet Army in East Geririany. The passers ger.traffid'thrbugh_,the Swidnica station is very light and. it is entirely stopped after 2100 hours, at which time civilians are forbidden to enter the station area.
