THIS IS UNEVALUATED. INFORMATION
1. The Central. Construction Office (Zentrales Konatruktionsbuero) (Z,KB), is a
planning office which is responsible for the new construction or expansion
of Industrial plants connected with the :ant German iron industry. The
7,1M consists of. the Main Department for Planning, which is under Stoof
and the Main Department for Construction,. which is under Duemke
MO. The Main Department for Panning concerns itself with projects
for the iron industry, the mining industry, and. the nonferrous metals in-
dustry.

2. The Main Department for Construction consists of the following offices:
Office of Genera. Construction: manager, Geurich (fanu); Production manager,
Office of Furnace Construction: manager, Fiedler (fnu); Production manager,
Brieschke (Thu).
Designo for Siemens-Martin fern ,ces, air furnaces, blast furnaces, cupola
furnaces, gravity-discharge furnaces, - ingot puiVher, pit heating furnaces,
hot-metal mixer, and all other fuel-fired furnaces are drawn, up here.
The KB contains also the following departments (though these departments
are not a part of. the W n Department) :
Research and Development-Kranenberg (fuu); this office concerns itself with
the method of processing continuous casting.
Conveying machinery - Schmieder (fau), technical expert
Railroad yards - Vater (fnu); EKG, Brandenburg, Calbe, zinc works, and as
far as possible all other works.
Electra department - Zelsinger (fun); high.aaitd low-voltage current for all
industriaal plants.
