Daily observed 50X1-HUM departing from this barracks laden with rations for nearby Trollenhagen airfield. 2. Military Activity in Neubrandenburg: On 22 September 1953, a convoy consisting of 19 trucks, four tank trucks, 1 field kitchen and 16 rocket launchers, passed through Neubrandenburg and departed in the direction of Penzlin. The rocket launchers fitted on Studebaker trucks were observed to protrude only as far as the driver's cab and appeared to have a double bank of rocket rails. 3. Miscellaneous Military Vehicles Observed in Neubrandenburg: 4. Former Torpedo Experi enja1 Station (TVA) Neubrandenburg: The former TVA situated south-west of Neubrandenburg adjoining the Trollensee is at present being used solely as a Soviet military workshop and assembly depot. Occasionally trucks have been observed entering the built-up area laden with large packing cases all of a uniform size estimated at measuring approximately 2 meters x 2 meters x 1 meter. In addition, on two occasions 6 JS-3's were observed being brought in on flag . It was learned one main complex is engaged solely in V-bank tank engines. that at least assembling 12-cylinder 5. The entire area is patrolled by blue-uniformed Volkspolizei armed with machine carbines and using guard dogs. A three-meter- high wooden fence, in which all Caps and holes in the palings have recently been filled ins completely encloses the complex. 6. The former workshops actually adjoining the lake are still in a derelict state and no attempts have as yet been made at rebuilding them. The former piers which extend approximately 200 meters out into the lake are completely unusable and during the past month steps have been taken to remove the piles supporting the pierheads. There are no signs of any moorings in the lake, the latter being patrolled by a single low-speed motor launch manned by four blue-uniformed members of the Volkspolizei. Until recently there has been a notice on the shore warning people not to approach within 300 meters of the shore; but this has been removed and replaced by another notice expressly forbidding any approach within 700 meters of the establishment. 7. There are no signs whatsoever of any form of nautical experiments taking place here, and the whole waterside gives a very desolate appearance.
