Between 26 and 30 September 1953, the tuftnachrichten Kaserne in Bernau was occupied
to capacity. On 28 September, subcaliber target practice with two guns mounting
carbines was held in the Schoenow training area. Prior to 30 September, the SS Brief-
taubenstation (homing pigeon station) was occupied about 30 percent. From sunset
until 11 P.M. on 2 October. columns of tanks and motor vehicles 50X1-HUM

to the Schoenow training area, coming from the direction ofyanalitz. At 8 a.m. on 50X1-HUM
3 October, motor vehicles were seen en route toward Bernau and Schoenwalde, coming
from the trainina area.
