1. In late September and early October 1953, work was completed on the runway
at Parchim airfield Only the joints between the concrete slabs were
being filled Concreting work on the taxiway continued. Powdered prin4;
continually arrived at the construction site. It was addressed to the Bate
union Spree which stored the print at the site. or Smirnov (Thu) who
replaced Captain Berezovchuk (fnu) during his furlough, in late 4 tember.,
handed over to the construction staff a set of drawings which indicated the
areas on the concrete surfaces and on the inside of aircraft revetments wh:%ch
were to be provided with camouflage paint in two green colors and one brow-ish
shade.1

Air Force soldiers unloaded tables, chairs, cupboards, boxes, rifle stands etc,
from trucks at the eastern end of the barracks installation.
At the same time, personnel, probably assigned to the ec ia end
