Source stated that the attitude of the population n the Wurzen area
was one of reserved expectation Raises in salaries had created some
ontinisrn toward the new course. Sufficient food was available for
ration tickets, and the HO shops were better supplied with quality food.
Some prices had been lowered.
Another source stated that sausages, tut no fats or fresh meat. ,were on sai c~
at the HO shops in the Meerane area. in raid-July, a quarter of a kilo of e
butter was sold at HO prices to working people upon presentation of coal.
