The barracks installation was on the west side of a new concrete road, which came frow the southwe.,tern.sector of Wove Mesto and led to the connecting road between Nave N-sto and Bzince. The barracks area, at which only a limited number of sentries was observed, vas about 250 x 150 to 20.' meters.2 On 17 September 1953, no indications of the construction of galleries or other storage yards for military supplies were observed in the town of Slavicin 21adotiee (P 50/0 30) and its hilly environs. or were there any field railway or Bier tracks. From 15 to?20 September. 1953, no barracks installations and milita -.:Islets were located in Gottwaldov (P 50/0 21).1 1 25X1 dirt-gray three-storied old house north of the east-bound road from Gott%raldov to Prziluk (P 50/0 21) was entered and left by numerous officers with briefcases who included senior lieutenants and captains and wore reel collar patches, go sentry was in front of the building. 1 Most of the.. soldiers who seemed to watch the International 6-iay Race as lookers-on wore rod-bordered black epaulets. Arm insignia observed included white-metal tank ins.?aia, AAA insignia and engineer insignia. Engino : rs wore black service color with unidentified piping. Engineers and AA artillerymen outnumbered the tank soldiers in ti.e streets. Numerous cadets, who ;,.!ere 14 to 16 years old and, residents. said, were not stationed at the city, were observed in the post area on Sunday, 20 September. They had no conspicuous insignia. Motor vehicles observed in the area of the city and in the 6-day drivers' camp included 6-wheeled Skoda.trucks The right side of the driver's cabs of these military trucks had a hinged hatch. Other motor 25X1B vehicles.o0se-ved included 4-wheeled trucks driven by soldiers wearing fatigue uniforms without insignia. A local resident said that a restricted area had long been on the eastern perimeter of the city, about 50) meters southeast of a tall building. Informant in this area observed the entrance to a gallery, which was surrounded by newly dug-out earth and was served by a field railway track. 2.
