1. The following particulars have been obtained on the permanent telephone lines
leading out of the Public Security Office in Sulechow,,(Zuellichau-053/W41)e
a. A four-core line in the direction of Swiebodzin (Schwiebus-053/'33) has been
finished but has not as yet been connected with the UB (Security Police) head-
quarters exchange inside the UB building in Suleohow. It has not been estab-
lished where this line leads. It must be connected with some exchange, since
on two occasions an army patrol.was observed talking with this unidentified
exchange by means'. of a portable field apparatus.
b. A six-core line in the direction of Zielona Gora (Gruenberg) has been partly
completed. Two cores were connected on 30 September with the exchange inside
the UB building in Suleohow; on the other end the cores are joined to the poles
of the Moscow-Berlin telephone line. The other four cores stretch only for about,
25 telephone poles outside the UB building.
2. Further work has been temporarily suspended. A soldier in the group engaged in the
construction of this line said that work had been interrupted due to the lack of
cores.
