this unit had been charged with guard rissions at the Central Police Headquarters
on lexanderplatz in Berlin. The 5-6 Komriando was equipped with a total of 54 -.ort3rs,
I..e. 18 mortars for each battalion which consisted of 3 batteries each. Each battery,
which was composed of a headquarters platoon and.2 gun platoons numbered 56 men. The
authorized officers' strength for each battalion was 22 officers. The Kcmrnando was
equipped with 63 cross-country rotor vehicles, 7 for each battery.
