School in Szczecin
Physical training
1. The length of training at the Navigation Department of the Maritime School
in Szczecin (Stettin) is five years, during which time pupils undergo
practical work in the summer, sailing on PLO (Polish Ocean Lines) ships.
2. On admittance, a, pupil's parents must sign a declaration that they agree
to give their son into the care of the State, and that they will not
interfere with his political education.
3. Boys of peasant or worker origin or those who were active as members of
the ZMP (Union of Polish Youth) have little difficulty in being admitted
to the school but boys who have relatives abroad are not eligible.
The director of the school is Captain Maciejewicz; the first political
deputy is Captain Bomhczynski; the second political deputy, lot Officer
Tatarski.
