From 10 September until 6 October 1953, 20 T-34 tanks arrived by rail at the tank repair shop in Wuensdorf for complete overhaul. Fifteen of the tanks were repaired between 2 and 24 September. Their departure s made only at night. I Bogie wheels and axles produced at the installation,in excess of the requirement of the plant were delivered to the troops. At the beginning of September, about 80 axles and 100 bogie wheels ready to be shipped to the t rocps were noticed, 2 3. In mid-September 1953, the depot received 135 manometers from a Soviet depot, in Frankff'urt/Odor. . 3 an order of a unit in Wuensdorf for 10 electric kitchen hearths and 150 electric bulbs to be delivered by the material dump of the dept, 3 5. On 9 October, 3 boxcarloads of bogie wheels and tank axles were shipped to Nuellrose o 4 6. Between 1 and 10 October, 21 tanks arrived at the Wuensdorf tank repair shop for complete overhaul. Nineteen tanks left the assembly halls ready to be picked up during the same period. 1 7. Large quantities of bogie wheels and angular axles for T-34 tanks to be shipped to other workshops were piled up in.a fenced-in area between the 2 two shops of the tinsmith's and the warehouse in late September 1953. 8. On the morning of 14 September, about 1,200 troops wearing red-bordered black epaulets with tank or rotor transport insignia fell in in front of workshops of the tank repair shop. The quota fixed for October was also 23 tanks. 1 11. On 5 October, 548 German workers were employed in the plant. There was still a shortage of specialists, such as turners, welders and locksr.~-iths. 5 12.
