This Document contains information affecting the Na-
tional Defense of the United States, within the mean-
ing of Title 18, Sections 793 and 794, of the U.B. Code, as
emended. Its transmission or revelation of its contents

1.. The railroads are soon to come under Army management and an Army general is
to be the head of the Ministry of Railroads . Railroad personnel are to
get Army-type uniforms and a special military disciplinary and penal code will
be issued for the railroad service, according to the Soviet model.
2. The staff of the Ministry of Railroads- in Prague, which"amounts to 2,000
persons,. is to be cut considerably. Before World War II, the entire Ministry
of Transportation had a staff of only.700.
The government reorganization of 14 September 1953
recombined the Ministry of Railroads with the Ministry of Transportation
to form the present Ministry of Transportation.
