b. On 1 August 1953, the former general director of SAG AMO, Magdeburg,
Levschin (fnu) (Russian) was succeeded by Iayarov (fnu) (Russian).
On 1 August 1953, the chief of the Kaderabteilung, Schimakov (fnu)
(Russian) was succeeded by Bilov (fnu) (Russian). The reasons for
the changes have not been publicized,

Go. Social intercourse between German and Russian employees at the SAG
A1O, Magdeburg, was formerly nonexistent. However, new regulations,
issued after 17 June 1953, instructed Russian employees to cultivate
friendship with their fellow German employees, even in private life.
d. On 15 July 1953, a cash payment was made to Karl Liebknecht, Magdeburg,
by SAG AMO of 480,000 DM (W) for the purchase of steel boiler plates
in the West,,
Dissolution of Pirne.,Saxomr
3. No engineers formerly employed in the aircraft design offices in Pirna,'
Saxony, have now taken up employment at SAG AMO, Magdeburg. Up to '.' : 30
June-1953,, both engineers had been employed at Pirna, Saxony, in the department
of s a tentfic development, the division of engine construction and development.
4o The Ministry of Transport and Agricultural Machine Construction, Dessau
(formerly Junkers, Dessau),has also been dissolved, and only small groups of
the employees still remain : t'the site to close down the plant. Former
employees of the firm, Polysius, Dessau, who were recruited for the Ministry
have been allowed to return and take up their former employment at Polysius,
Dessau.
