1. In late July 1953 the double telephone line connecting P'ingho (N.22-51,
E 102-32), Hapo and Liuts'un (N 23-15, E 102-09) was put into operation.
2. In August the.installation of a double telephone line between P'ingho and
Hsiahati, a village 60 kilometers southwest of Liuts'un and about 35
kilometers south of Chimapa (N 22-51, E 102-18 was in progress.
3. In late July the installation of telephone poles for the Liuts'un -
Hsiahati telephone line was completed, and the stringing of double
telephone.lines was in progress. The line was scheduled to begin
operation in mid-August.
4. In early..August the installation of telephone poles for the P'ingho-
Chemi - iengla (N 22-38, E 103-04) telephone line was completed. The
stringing of double telephone lines was in progress.
