1. Since the end of June 1953, oxygen has been, blown into the blast furnaces
and the Bessemer converters at the Maxhuette, Unterwellenborn. . With this
procedure, and the addition of manganese, the sulphur content of the ore can
be greatly reduced.
2. It is hoped that by the end of 1953, production at the Maxhuette will be
increased by fifteen percent.
3.
The oxygen. is manufactured at the Maxhuette.
