I Ithe recruiting campaign for the KVP has
recently been considerably increased. AU recruited persons ware assigned
to TV Sued. Small Bereitschaftf3n in Saxony and Thuringia which had a strength
of-,800 We were to be brought to full division strength after the pattern of
:' ^zne : gruppe Nord. While P_rmeegruppe 11cr d was scheduled noe increased
ether, TV Sued was to be brouq;ht to full army corps strength with emphasis
on the area of Leipzig and Erfu:,t so that the actual strength of 'Armeegruppe 'fox
riot -chant e.- during the first six months 1951. a
prescribed number of recruits hnd not yet been recru ted, however.

the training of KVP officers at war academies in
the USSR would be discontinued and that similar courses would be conducted at
the Dresden war academy undier the supervision of ex-Field Marshal Pa1Zlue.2
-[Comment; The Bereitschaf?,en of TV 24 presently have en estimated 50 to
60 percent of their authorized :strength while TV 12 probably Is filled up to
about ?0 or END percent. It is therefore probable that TV 24, will t . ?~7?IOrity
in personnel hssi i imnts.
