1. A hospital to accommodate 400 patients was under construction at Nova H#a,.
Krakow'o'for workers of this industrial area. The surgical and internal diseases
sections, with 200 beds, was to be ready by the end of 1953,
2, With the object of increasing the employment of. women in institutions subordinate
to the Ministry of Health, men are now being dismissed from services in which they
can be replaced by women. The men concerned are all in good health and are not
over 45 years of age, They are allocated to industry. At the same time, the number
of men who may be admitted to mixed professional schools (male nurses, assistants
to chemists and radiologists etc.) which are administered by the Ministry of Health,
has been limited to a mimnm -of 20%, In schools for feldshers (felezerskie), the
number of male students may not exceed 70%.
